Thank you With gratitude, the family of Jack and Sheila McCuish would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to many, many family, friends and neighbours who were so very kind during the sudden tragic loss of Scott McCuish, our son, brother, uncle and friend. There are so many people to thank; we cannot possibly name everyone for their outpouring of support in so many ways. We are very grateful to the RCMP and their divers, as well as all the authorities who carefully and compassionately found our son and brought him home to rest. The friends and family who provided daily food, care, flowers and cards of compassion to our household know who they are. There were wonderful stories shared about how Scott affected the lives of so many in his own quiet, introspective way. We discovered he was a part of mentoring young people, which was absolutely heartwarming to us all. These friends and family and the larger community reveal the types of solid, wonderful people who know how to comfort others in times such as these, and in doing so, lift us up to help make it through. The overflowing attendees at the memorial held at Royal Canadian Legion, with the fine ladies putting on a lovely lunch afterward, and the stories shared throughout these past weeks from near and far, revealed even more tales about how much our quiet, outdoor-loving son touched other people's lives. With grateful hearts, the McCuish family.
